Amoura Carter has found herself a roller skating lover ever since she
moved back to Charlotte, North Carolina. Carter was a language arts
teacher at Ashley Park K-8 school in Charlotte, but will soon begin
teaching at Garinger High School She moved from Charlotte when she was
in first grade and moved back to start her teaching career. After
earning a Bachelor’s degree in English from Davidson College, she
learned to love the study of books and literature. Her love for this
discipline spills over to her classroom. Another love of hers is roller
blading and roller skating. Here are three excellent roller skating
rinks for adults in Charlotte:
- Kate’s Skating Center. Located in nearby Indian Trail, Kate’s boasts a retro, fun-for-all roller rink that is perfect for children and adults of all ages. Kate’s has a massive rink, cheap, delicious food, and arcade games. Amoura Carter loves the atmosphere there and the attentive staff.
- Frye’s Roller Rink. Adults and kids alike love to get to Frye’s for their large wooden rink, access to a variety of arcade games, and food for everyone. Amoura Carter tries to get to the rink for open skates whenever possible.
- Starlight Roller Rink. Adults take over this skating rink every Sunday night, but it is also fun for children and families. The rink is adorned with multi-colored lights and a disco ball.
